Nakład wyprzedany, ostatni egzemplarz In Christian iconography, the twelve sybills and the twelve prophets are traditionally depicted next to each other, and it is similarly done on the present recording. The cycle Prophetae Sybillarum is one of Orlando di Lasso's most enigmatic works and has long been highly regarded by connoisseurs. The same may be said of the motet cycle Lectiones sacrae ex libris Job (composed around 1582), which is recorded here for the first time. It is esoteric, subtle, extremely refined music from the composer's mature period, musica reservata in the best sense of the word. The well-known Ensemble Daedalus, conducted by Roberta Festa, thanks to its excellent interpretation, makes it easy for us to access this "music for connoisseurs".
