In this recording we try to reconstruct the songs of the first known troubadour Guillaume IX d'Aquitaine (1071-1127), which have only been handed down in text form. Not an easy task, because the clues as to how they might have sounded are rare. The interpreter Brice Duisit must rely completely on his knowledge and his cultural empathy. The experience value of this album lies in the successful combination of musical instinct and scientific knowledge.
