Nakład wyprzedany, ostatni egzemplarzFollowing in the footsteps of the Jesuits, the Ensemble Florilegium went into the jungle of Bolivia in 2004 and gave the South American country back its baroque music, which had been heard in the 17th and 18th centuries in the Jesuits' Indian mission stations. The ensemble leader Ashley Solomon specifically sought the participation of local musicians: initially four Bolivian musicians had qualified in a selection procedure for participation in the ambitious music-historical research project, but a local choir called Arakaendar Bolivia has now emerged, with which the second and third CD of Bolivian Baroque music could be recorded. In this way, the ancient timbre of the indigenous people, preserved in South American folk music, contributes to the interpretation of this music rediscovered after centuries.
