Childhood is the start of the world; it is also the dawn of every destiny. For Robert Schumann (1810-1856), childhood is firstly his own, the one of a quick-minded child. It is also the one of his love, younger of almost ten year, Clara, for which Robert Schumann will compose the major part of his piano works and amongst them Kinderszenen. From his works for piano for two or four hands to his lieder for piano and voice, these childhood worlds are crossing eachother, always keeping their own aesthetical categories and are beautifully interpreted by two famous figures of the Romantic piano: Eric Lesage & Frank Braley. The 7th opus of this Schumann's complete works collection is a disc of a rare quality and cannot be missed.
