This "clarinets" CD is the first recording I made under my own name and for which I almost entirely composed the music. It is at the origin of my work as a composer and gave me the desire to form my own groups. It allowed me to define anchor points and a direction that I later developed with the musicians on stage and in the three other records released at the time under the Ida Records label (China, Chamber Music, Ellington on the air). Many pieces from these three albums have been used by choreographers, directors, filmmakers..., which allowed me to reach a large audience, but above all, each time to enrich this music with a new meaning; Amos Gitai, for example, plays wonderfully with the "marriage" theme in his film Kadosh. These four discs represent an essential part of my musical work. I am very happy that it is available again.
