At the center of this new production, which builds cultural bridges - it was realized for the 25th anniversary of the independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan in December 2016 - are the two string quartets by the important composer and music teacher Gaziza Zhubanova (1927-1993) and the first quartet by the extremely promising young composer Arman Zhaiym (*1983). These works are framed by important original compositions by Kazakh composers arranged for string quartet. The recordings were realized with 36 channels for the sound format Auro-3D in October 2015 in Moscow and then mixed down to a brilliant stereo sound image as well as the 6-channel multi-channel sound image. The Hybrid SACD includes both versions. The "Kazakh State String Quartet", founded in 1988 and formed in honour of Gaziza A. Zhubanova, won numerous prizes at international competitions and was voted best ensemble at the "Escuela Superior de Musica Reina Sofia" in Madrid. The members of the quartet received a Master of Arts in Basel / Switzerland in 2012.
