Created on the initiative of Emmanuel Krivine, La Chambre Philharmonique likes to see itself as the achievement of a utopia. An orchestra of a new kind, comprising members of the finest European ensembles motivated by the same musical urgency, La Chambre Philharmonique places pleasure at the heart of a new adventure in music. It is also a space for research and exchange, identifying the instruments and period techniques appropriate to each repertory.In May 2014, La Chambre Philharmonique performed the Symphonie Fantastique of Berlioz in a memorable concert at the Cité de la Musique in Paris.
