Baryton continue to present their beautiful catalogue of rare early and mediaeval music performed by leading Italian period performance ensembles. Giovanni Rota (artistic director) has transcribed Bartolomeo Bernardi's 1696 score of Sonate A Due Violini E B.C. Op. 2 for his ensemble Hortensia Virtuousa - this is the time the score has been heard transcribed for a group of instruments. The works here are performed with original instruments (or copies of them) - the keyboard in this instance is an historic organ, located in Capurso (Ba), in the church of S.F. from Paola. It is a positive organ of the Neapolitan School by Pietro De Simone, Jr., in 1753 at 419Hz tuning.
