Nakład wyprzedany, ostatnie 2 egzemplarze The tenor Mark Padmore and the fortepiano phenomenon Kristian Bezuidenhout continue their highly acclaimed Schumann CD and once again join forces for this delightful recording with songs by Haydn, "An die ferne Geliebte" op. 98 by Beethoven and the Freimaur cantata KV 619 by Mozart • Mozart came to Vienna in 1781. At that time, as a result of the imperial theatre's new preference for the Singspiel, the partisans of a literary and a folk poem came closer together, who had divided the creation of songs in German-speaking countries. The songs by Mozart, Haydn and Beethoven recorded here give an insight into the repertoire of that time, which is rarely offered. Although some of them were still far removed from the social and poetic incentives that guaranteed Schubert's later successes, these innovative songs undoubtedly paved the way for that rich songwriting.
