Filmed in Lyon in August 2007, at the Grand Théâtre de Fourvière, Les Aventure du Prince Rama is a spectacular Balinese philosophical tale in which the characters, costumes and masks are unparalleled in sophistication. The variety of repertoires, traditional instrumental and vocal, classical and popular, is supported by the richness of a heptatonic gamelan unheard of in France. Contrary to the productions generally offered to tourists, this is an original show imagined by French ethnomusicologist Kati Basset, familiar with Indonesian choreographic, musical and theatrical traditions
