GLOSSA CABINET is the name of the new midprice series of the innovative Spanish noble label. On it, precious and rare recordings from the back catalog are re-released, some of which were not available for a long time. The series and the design of its covers were inspired by the collections of the nobility and wealthy bourgeoisie from the 16th and 17th centuries, who collected all kinds of art, handicrafts and not least natural history in their chambers of art and curiosities, sometimes also called cabinets, thus creating an early precursor of our present-day museum culture. Sylvius Leopold Weiss was one of the last great lutenists in the 18th century and even inspired Bach in Leipzig to play his lute works. Luis Miguel Moreno has recorded some of his intimate lute works that dispel rather than promote melancholy.
