The group LES BALLETS TROCKADEROS was founded in 1974 by a group of ballet enthusiasts who wanted to present a playful, entertaining variant of traditional, classic ballets as a parody and travesty performance. The gifted mix of dancing skills and comic talent quickly made it well known far beyond the city limits of New York. Since then, the TROCKS, as the group is affectionately known, has become a worldwide dance phenomenon. The original concept has not changed since the company was founded. It is an ensemble of professional male dancers who master the entire spectrum of ballet and "modern dance", including classical pieces and original works.
