Werner Erhardt's latest project conjures up a harem festival based on the exchange of musicians from the legations of the Orient and Occident, as it actually took place in the 18th century. The basis this time is the first recording of Christian Cannabich's La Fête du Serail, to which arias from Mozart's opera fragment Zaide are added. The high-ranking Pera Ensemble Istanbul also plays historical music from the Orient, which is coherently combined with European music.
