Amongst Schmitt's abundant output are numerous pieces for vocal ensemble(s), whether a cappella or with piano. And in this series are works for women's chorus, so it was logical and legitimate that Régine Théodoresco and her group Calliope take an interest in it. •
Leur réputation n'est plus à faire, et c'est en particulier ce disque — paru il y a une douzaine d'années sous Their reputation is well established, thanks in particular to this disc, released a dozen years ago on the eponymous Calliope label. After having long been unavailable, it returns in new packaging to join a Schmitt 'line' that is in full development. •
