On 06 March 1831, Bellini himself conducted the World premiere of his "sonnambula" at the Teatro Carcaon. About the two leading actors Giuditta Pasta in the Role of the sleepwalker and Giovanni Battista Rubini when Evino wrote Michail Glinka: "They sang with the in the second act, they had to make their own weeping and moving the audience deeply. We too (...) shed abundant tears of emotion and enthusiasm." • In the present production, director Bepi Morassi the action in an elegant ski resort of the 30's, who is with his sophisticated ambiance for a jealousy drama. The humorous ideas of the staging let the necessary Seriousness of the music, however, in no way in the Step into the background. The leading roles are played by the Belcanto-Fach experienced tenor Shalva Mukeria (Elvino) and Jessica Pratt as Amina.
