opis
José Manuel López López (Madrid, 1956) has developed a long and productive compositional career whose merits, well recognized by the most demanding national and international critics, have not only been translated into a wide catalog, but also into a brilliant academic and professional career that It has led him to be awarded several times with prestigious awards such as that of the International Society for Contemporary Music or that of the French Association of Artistic Action, in addition to being appointed in 2007 Artistic Director of the National Music Auditorium and in 2012 Professor of Composition at the Conservatory of Gennevilliers (France). • This monograph includes a good part of his most recent work, from Simog-Civitella , a superb composition from 2011 that opens the album, to Movimientos , a 1998 piece that ends it. Also dazzling is the inclusion of DVD images by the videographer Pascal Auger, with whom López López had already worked in Octandre in 2001, and which includes sequences taken in Venice, Corsica, Paris, New York, Prague and the Castle Civitella Ranieri, in Perugia, in some of the encounters that the composer had with different artists between 2011 and 2012.
