Nakład wyprzedany, ostatnie 2 egzemplarze Beethoven composed over eighty songs, the first in Bonn in 1783, the last forty years later in Vienna. In the course of his musical work, he overcame the stylistic and aesthetic conventions of the classical period and found his own form, which was to become the forerunner for the German Romantic piano song of Schumann and Schubert. It is precisely this development that is impressively traced here.
