Convinced that the complexity of the choirs is comparable to, if not greater than, the solo parts, Jordi Savall has chosen for this recording an "academy" of young voices, all of whom aspire to a solo career. The technical and artistic quality of the result after several weeks of rehearsals was outstanding. In order to overcome the debate about the "right" number of singers in the performance of a Mass in B minor, Jordi Savall alternatively always chose the number that seemed appropriate for the respective part of the sublime work and its spirit.
