As to Penderecki, who reached the pantheon of musical glories of his period during his lifetime, he too composed a sextet for the same instruments at the end of last century. Ever since its creation at the Musikverein in Vienna, this work has imposed itself as a cornerstone in the catalogue of the great Polish master.
