The three Abrahamitic religions Judaism, Christianity and Islam have more in common than could be assumed through the conflicts of the last decades and the much conjured "clash of cultures". The similarities were already recognized in the 17th century by Albert Wojciech Bobowski (1610-1675), who was deported to Constantinople and later converted to Islam. Bobowski translated the Koran as well as the Geneva Psalter by Claude Goudimel into Turkish.
