They are all graduates of the BBC Young Musician competition and very good friends, but this is the first time they have appeared together on a recording. Together they have a reach of 1 million people and regularly tour internationally.
Following the first recording of the work on Decca Classics, Nicola, Sheku and Benjamin toured the concerto around the UK in 2023 and then recorded it with the Philharmonic and their Principal Conductor Santtu-Matias Rouvali.
The works are accompanied by a selection of Beethoven's rarely performed folk songs and the famous baritone Gerald Finley.
