Called Winds Of Change, this new album celebrates 25 years of an artistic collaboration between David Linx et Diederik Wissels. Their repertoire is known for having brought a new creative inspiration to the vocal jazz. Since 1992, David and Diederik recorded many albums such as Kamook (1992), If One More Day (1993), Up Close (1996), Bandarkâh (1998), Heartland (2001)with Paolo Fresu, This Time (2003), One Heart Three Voices (2005) with Fay Claassen et Maria Pia de Vito, and Follow The Songlines (2010) with Maria Joao and Mario Laginha. Their collaboration had many success and prices from French institutions and French jazz magazines. Some of their songs appear in the Real Book, book of American famous songs. A lot of singers around the world covered theirs songs. For this new album of 13 songs, David Linx and Diederik Wissels invited Christophe Wallemme on acoustic bass and Donald Kontomanou on drums. They also invited the guitarist Manu Codjia (In Search Of Proper Shelter, You, Speak Up), the saxophonist Jacques Schwarz-Bart (You) and the trumpetist Ibrahim Maalouf (In Search Of Proper Shelter). This last album is a review of more than 20 years of a collaboration to a kind of jazz we can call "songwriter".
