The Ensemble United Instruments of Lucilin is the most renowned ensemble of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg and surprises again and again with imaginative and well thought-out programs. The basis of the present album are Bach's Goldberg Variations, which have inspired various composers to very original compositions. You move from the original sound of the harpsichord, to the idiosyncratic combination of viola d'amore and marimba in Garth Knox's Goldberg's Ghost, to "jazzy" looking instrumentations.
