The present photographs were taken between April 1920 and September 1923 in Camden, New Jersey. Handel's "O Sleep! Why Dost Thou Leave me?", a work with a complex breathing technique and full of tonal beauty, as well as "Sängers Trost" by Schumann, one of the most beautiful recordings of Schumann's Lieder, are particularly remarkable. In addition to four joint recordings with the violinist Fritz Kreisler, this CD also includes three other recordings that were unpublished during the singer's lifetime. For the first time Mc Cormack's interpretation of Rachmaninov's "To the Children" and Merikanto's "A Fairy Story By The Fire" can be heard.
