opis
The Bavarian Chamber Orchestra (BKO) based in the idyllic spa resort of Bad Brückenau has made a name for itself with innovative projects since its foundation in 1979. The orchestra consists of first-rate professional musicians from the nations of central Europe (Germany, Austria, Czechia), who regularly come together as chamber orchestras or in various chamber ensembles. The nurture of musical traditions is no less important to the orchestra than its adventurous projects in musical border territory. One particular emphasis is on introducing new audiences to music in partnership with schools and other educational bodies. • Johannes Moesus, conductor of these "first recordings" Hob. I:90 and I:92, has a marked penchant for Haydn's original versions: "The symphonies work very well in the autograph version without trumpets and drums, surely reflecting Haydn`s original intentions. They have more of a chamber-music quality, yet are by no means lacking in temperament and tone colour." (Günther Grünsteudel)
