Menahem Pressler, the legendary grand seigneur of the piano scene and probably the oldest active concert pianist in the world (ECHO Klassik für das Lebenswerk 2015), recorded Brahms' masterful piano quintet in F minor op. 34 for the very first time on CD at the tender age of over 90 with the renowned Pacifica Quartet (Grammy-® and Echo winner). The CD is completed by the String Quartet No. 1 in A minor op. 41 No. 1 by Robert Schumann. The recordings of this unique sound document are from the years 2014 and 2016.
