Music is the true soul of Venice. "In every square, on every street and on every channel, there is singing," wrote Carlo Goldoni. This collection is dedicated to pieces composed by dilettantes (dilettarsi, it. = to enjoy) in the 18th century, amateur composers, some of whom had a strong influence on the music scene and society of their time. Among them there were, for example, two noblemen, one of whom was a Venetian lawyer and the other in the army, a Benedictine monk and a tenor from San Marco, who composed for comedy poets like Goldoni ... an album full of surprises.
