Nakład wyprzedany, ostatni egzemplarz Mozart's Requiem remained unfinished after his death and yet is one of his most treasured works. The completions by Franz Xaver Süßmayer and Joseph Eybler are much discussed. The composer Sigismund Neukomm (1778-1858) wrote his own Requiem, which was based on Mozart's composition - which makes the discovery of a manuscript in an archive in Rio de Janeiro, which completes Mozart's last work with a "Libera me" from Neukomm's pen, all the more sensational. A very coherent and both historically and musically plausible Requim is presented here in a fantastic recording.
