Capella Savaria, on their latest album – part two of their Mozart series –, features pieces of one of the most popular genres throughout the 18th century, and probably still today: they chose two serenades of Mozart, both composed in 1776: the "Haffner Serenade" and the "Serenata Notturna".
The Canadian Opus Magazine has described Capella Savaria as "one of Europe's best ensembles". The famous chamber orchestra has earned its fame as the first period-instrument ensemble of Hungary, their objectives were, from the onset, to play Baroque and Classical music in an authentic way. Their Concertmaster, Violin Soloist and Artistic Director of the orchestra is Zsolt Kalló.
