The cantatas on this first recording of the Thomanerchor Leipzig under the musical direction of Schwarz, speak about the human certainty of being secure in/with God (BWV 17: 'How a father has mercy on his young children') and the confidence that God will deliver man from all trouble (BWV 33: 'I call on thee in whom I trust').
