For his new production on the GLOSSA label, Christian Senn has recorded Johann Sebastian Bach's three bass cantatas - another example of the continuing tendency to record the vocal works of the Thomaskantor with fresh, unused voices.

The impressive career of the Chilean baritone is marked by a strong preference for baroque works, be it Vivaldi operas, Bach's passions or even Handel oratorios. In addition, Christian Senn continues to delight his audiences with bel canto repertoire, especially by Mozart and Bellini.

In exploring the mysterious sacred cantatas recorded here, the singer is supported by the outstanding early music ensemble laBarocca.
