It is an aria also admirably suited to the considerable talents of Flavio Ferri-Benedetti, a singer not only gifted with a voice a considerable beauty, but also of a musical intelligence that allows him to capture with perfect sense bith the musical and literary syntax of the aria's agonized opening lines.
