Nakład wyprzedany, ostatni egzemplarzThis edition with the harpsichordist Michèle Dévérité, the violinist Ryo Terakado and the gambist Kaori Uemura presents the completely preserved works of the French composer Antoine Forqueray and his son Jean-Baptiste. The latter published his own works for viola da gamba in 1747. Although his father had written about 300 compositions, only 32 pieces in the son's edition have survived the times. The fourth CD presents works by famous (and also lesser known) contemporaries, all of whom refer to Antoine and Jean-Baptiste Forqueray. Finally, as a bonus, there are texts that portray the life of the Forquerays and contemporary history, performed by actor Nicolas Lormeau of the Comédie-Française and accompanied by the musicians of the recording.
