Johann Jakob Froberger was a cosmopolitan: he lived in Stuttgart, Vienna, London, Rome, Florence, Paris, Madrid and finally in Alsace. At each of these stations, he was inspired by the prevailing taste in music and incorporated it into his compositions. On this CD, Johannes Maria Bogner devotes himself to works that Froberger wrote in Vienna.
