The successful series Resound Beethoven enters its fifth round, this time with the Ninth Symphony. As with the recordings already made, Martin Haselböck tries to trace the circumstances of the premiere as accurately as possible, from the location of the performance to the instruments used. In this case, the location of the premiere, the Kärntnertortheater, could no longer be used because it was demolished a long time ago. Haselböck thus decided on the Great Redouten Hall of the Vienna Hofburg, where the second performance took place at the time. Once again the musicians are able to give an extremely precise picture of the performance conditions at that time.
