This release is the first in a series of releases as a partnership between Nimbus Alliance and Junk Ibu / RTF Classical, labels owned by the Richard Thomas Foundation. The Richard Thomas Foundation was established in 2009 to commission innovative and interesting works of contemporary performance art, and to support an ongoing programme of performances, recordings and exhibitions in London, Berlin, and elsewhere. Since 2009 the Foundation has supported or promoted 30 concerts; commissioned 14 composers; helped fund 8 recordings; and provided core funding for 6 performing arts companies. Over 14,000 people have attended concerts to hear music we have helped commission. The Foundation is launching two record labels in late 2015: Junk Ibu for contemporary music releases; and RTF Classical for modern chamber music releases.
